How to Claim Car Insurance

You who already have a car insurance would have no need to worry anymore if later there is a risk to your car, however you should still be careful when driving. By using car insurance, you have no need to bother to spend you only for the cost of vehicle repairs or dizziness due to loss of your vehicle.

There is some risk borne by the insurance company, such as damage to the car because of an accident, damage caused by the riots, and even the loss of your car as stolen. But already Did you know the procedures for doing your car insurance claim? Here's how to claim your car insurance.

Personal Accident Claims 

In this case, you submit claim for yourself with an insurance policy ( if your car is insured by using a comprehensive car insurance ).

Before you send your car to the workshop partners, make sure you have completed the form MVAR ( Motor Vehicle Accident Report ) submitted along with other documents that the requirements of the insurance company.

It is important that your vehicle repairs as soon as possible, because the new partner workshops begin the repair process after the insurer receives your claim requirements document.

After the repair process is complete, you will be contacted by the workshop partners or insurers to take your vehicle.

The disadvantage of this claim is that you lose the price of a no claim bonus. No claim bonus is a discount is given if you do not make an accident claim in a period of one year.

Third Party Claims 

These claims do if you were hit by a position as a party in the event of an accident. The advantage of doing this claim is that you can still get a no claim bonus.

There are two ways to make a third party claim. First, you you can submit claim directly to the insurance company of the guilty party if both parties are using two different services insurance company.

Second, you can directly submit claim to the insurance company that you are using if you are using a comprehensive insurance.

You try to minimize the loss, if you are in party submit third party claims. Well to minimize this, I will share additional tips on how to minimize the cost of damages to a third party car insurance claims:
  • You can designate their own insurance claims assessors registered to estimate the cost of losses. Usually workshop partners and the insurance company will advise you to take this step. 
  • Immediately submit reports and documents MVAR claims assessment along with other documents required to insurance companies, it is important to avoid swelling of the estimated value of loss due to unexpected additional damage. 
  • You are Entitled to claim reimbursement of transportation costs to a third party insurance company. This is the compensation paid to you by a third party insurance company or loss of opportunity to use your car.
